Guidelines
Participating Attorneys may prepare title opinions which are relied upon to issue Title Guaranty Commitments and Certificates. Or, Participating Attorneys may issue Commitments and Certificates themselves. Many of Title Guaranty’s Participating Attorneys provide closing and settlement services. Attorneys must be licensed to practice law in Iowa and maintain professional liability coverage of at least $250,000 per transaction and $500,000 overall to participate in the program. Attorneys who participate in the Closing Protection Letter program maintain insurance in the amount of $500,000 per transaction and $1,000,000 overall. Attorneys must also agree to prepare title opinions according to applicable laws and the title standards of the Iowa State Bar Association.

Participation Agreement
To become a Participating Attorney:
- Contact Title Guaranty for a Participation Agreement
- Complete, sign and return two original Agreements
- Submit a check for $25 payable to Treasurer, State of Iowa
