Disaster Damage Housing
$5 million in revenue bonds to ease and speed recovery efforts from the natural disasters of 2008. Applications will be accepted from the 11 Entitlement Cities and lead Councils of Governments currently administering the State Jumpstart program. Funds will be awarded based upon established priorities. More information is available here.

Grants for Water and Sewer Improvements
$55 million is allocated to create a new Water Quality Financial Assistance Program. The Iowa Finance Authority will administer the program. $35 million is reserved for communities with populations less than 10,000 for drinking water and wastewater projects. The remaining $20 million is reserved for communities with populations greater than 10,000. The application period is now closed.
